Eastern District is looking forward to welcoming Ladies Guild ringers to the AGM in June 2024. For members who will be travelling to the area the day before, we have arranged a couple of events on the Friday we hope you will enjoy. Any non-ringers with you are very welcome to join us for the service and meals.
Friday 14th June
An opportunity to ring a quarter peal in the afternoon (bookings now closed)
Social event: 7pm group meal at the Six Bells at Boreham; pre-booking required via AGM form. An email will be sent round nearer the time to confirm menu choices.
Saturday 15th June (17/05 - note change to ringing details as we cannot ring at Danbury)
Ringing routes 10 am - 1.15 pm
Route A from the North: 10-10.45 Bocking (10); 11.15-12noon Witham (8) ; 12.30-1.15 Terling (8)
Route B from the West: 10-10.45 Basildon (8); 11.15-12noon Galleywood (8); 12.30-1.15 Writtle (10)
Lunch: To fit in as much ringing as possible, we haven’t arranged a lunch stop, so you may want to bring something with you to have between towers. If you would prefer to stop somewhere, local pubs are likely to need to be booked in advance
• 2 – 2.45 pm Ringing at Great Baddow’s 8-bell tower
• 3 – 3.55 pm Ringing at Little Baddow’s 8-bell tower
• 4 - 4.30 pm Church service at Little Baddow
• 5pm AGM in the Memorial Hall, Little Baddow, CM3 4TA
• 6.15pm Buffet supper in the Memorial Hall, Little Baddow (vegetarian option provided)
Sunday 16th June
Sunday morning ringing: A list of nearby towers that would welcome ringers for their Sunday morning service will be sent out nearer the time.

Accommodation: Chelmsford has three Premier Inns and one Travelodge, as well as several smaller hotels and B&Bs. Maldon also has a Travelodge. The Lion at Boreham has accommodation too, and there are a number of Airbnbs in the area.
