The Central District would like to invite members of all districts to our planned Quarter Peal Weekend in central London on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd of February. Please note this is not the National Quarter Peal Weekend, we are opening up the event to all members of the Guild in the hope we will have more Quarter Peal attempts!
Huge thanks to Bo Myers who has organised the event based around the towers she knows well in London, including Christ Church on the Isle of Dogs, which is where the first ever all ladies peal was rung in July 1912. We will have general ringing session on the Saturday afternoon at this tower, open to all ringers, no need to have been involved in quarter peals. On Sunday 23rd we will have a chance to ring for services, followed by a general ringing tour, again open to all ringers. You are free to attend as much or as little as you wish of course.
Please do support the weekend if you are able to - and step up to call quarters if you have the skill set to do so, we cannot ring quarters without callers.
The application form is available here as a Word document. Please download it and save it with your own name, then fill it in an return, following the instructions on the form itself.
We are asking that completed forms are returned to Bo (bogusia.myers@gmail.com) by Friday 24th of January at the latest, please copy me in also (secretary.lgcentral@gmail.com).
Looking forward to a wonderful weekend of ringing and fun.
