Following the success of previous quarter peal weekends, we are planning another one for 2024 based around Radcliffe-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire. As my first official duty as President Elect, I will be organising the weekend, with invaluable assistance and local knowledge from Lyn Sugden, former East Midlands and now Central District member of the Guild.

We will follow a similar format to that adopted in 2023 with opportunities to attempt Quarter Peals on six or eight bells on both the Friday afternoon and evening and during the day on Saturday at towers in the area. For those not involved in the Quarter Peal attempts on Friday evening there is a possibility of either arranging a Ladies Practice Night at a local tower, or attending a local practice night in the area if there is enough interest. Following the ringing on Saturday we will arrange an evening meal at the Earl of Chesterfield Pub in nearby Shelford. 

Those attending will also be provided with a list of towers for Sunday Service ringing if they wish to join local bands on the Sunday morning. 

Lyn and I will book the towers and the meal, and the bands will be organised by myself. It will be down to individuals to book their own accommodation. The map below will give you an idea of the area we will be in. There are travel lodges and Premier Inns available in Nottingham, as well as Guest Houses and AirBnB accommodation choices.

Please download the form as a Word document, fill it in and save it as your own document, then send that to Alli. Please do not attempt to update the form directly on the website, so that the blank form is available for others.
